Pending budgetary approval, the American Bar Foundation (ABF), in partnership with AccessLex Institute, is committed to developing the next generation of scholars interested in empirical and interdisciplinary research on legal and higher education through one post-doctoral fellowship. The purpose of the fellowship is to assist emerging scholars who are studying issues of access, affordability, or value in legal and higher education. This fellowship program seeks to assemble and coordinate a professional network of scholars who will produce innovative, objective, empirical and interdisciplinary research in the field.

American Council of the Blind’s (ACB) Scholarship Program November 1st American Council of the Blind (ACB)

The American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) and American Council of the Blind (ACB) have partnered together to offer educational scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $7,500 for those attending a technical college or attending university as an entering freshman, undergraduate, or graduate student. This program awards students with scholarships to help with post-secondary education financial needs such as tuition, fees, room and board, and other additional costs associated with adaptive technology.

GEM Fellowship November 13th National GEM Consortium

The GEM fellowship program provides MS and Ph.D. level students in science and engineering with full tuition, fees, and an annual stipend provided by a sponsoring GEM University and sponsoring GEM Employer. The fellowship is designed to promote opportunities for individuals to enter industry at the graduate level in areas such as research and development, product development, and other high level technical careers. The George H. The La Unidad Latina Foundation (LULF) supports all students, regardless of legal status, who have demonstrated a dedication to advancing the Latino community. Scholarships are awarded ranging from $500 to $1000 to scholars pursuing academic excellence in higher education.

Laura Bassi Scholoarship March 31, 2021 Editing Press

The Laura Bassi Scholarship, which awards a total of $8,000 thrice per annum, was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed. The scholarships are open to every discipline and the next round of funding will be awarded in April 2021, Application deadline: 31 March 2021. Results: April 25, 2021.

Malyon Smith Scholarship Research Award late March The Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity (SPSOGD), Division 44

The Malyon-Smith Scholarship is named for two founding past-presidents of the division. It annually awards up to $1,000 to selected graduate students in psychology to advance research on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI). The award represents one of the division's major efforts to mentor and support science in LGBT psychology by encouraging the work of young researchers.

The Out to Innovate™ Scholarship is intended for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering,or mathematics (STEM) programs who are either lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or an active ally of the LGBTQ+ community. The scholarships are designed to promote academic excellence and increased visibility of talented LGBTQ+ students in STEM careers.

Paul and Ellen Ruckes Scholarship February 15 American Foundation for the Blind Scholarship Committee

Applicants must be legally blind, maintain a 3.0 GPA for most scholarships, be a full-time student, including students attending a technical college or attending a university as an entering freshman, undergraduate, or graduate student (as well as students ho work 32 or more hours per week and attend college part-time), and be involved in their school/local community.  They must be undergraduate or graduate students who are majoring in computer science, life sciences, physical sciences or engineering. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The Reaching Out LGBT+ MBA Fellowship was created as a joint effort between top business school programs and Reaching Out to demonstrate that business schools are the top destination to develop the out LGBT+ and active ally business leaders of tomorrow. The LGBT+ MBA Fellowship recipients each receive a minimum of $20,000 total scholarship* and access to exclusive mentorship and leadership development programming through Reaching Out. Interested applicants are encouraged to describe any LGBTQ leadership roles in their resumes and application essays.

Roy Scrivner Memorial Research Grants November 1st American Psychological Foundation (APF)

Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans (LGBT) people face many challenges in forming, defining and maintaining families.  This program seeks to encourage the study of LGBT family psychology and therapy through its support of promising young investigators whose graduate research is oriented toward issues in this general area.  Preference is given to advanced students who have demonstrated their commitment to this area through their dissertation research plans.

Rudolph Dillman Memorial Scholarship April 30th American Council of the Blind (ACB)

Four scholarships of $2500 each to undergraduate or graduate students who are studying in the field of rehabilitation and/or education of persons who are blind or visually impaired. One of these grants is specifically for a student who meets all requirements and submits evidence of economic need. Must submit proof of legal blindness. This is a one-time award not open to previous recipients.

Seen@Work is a management consulting firm focused on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. As part of our mission, we are offering two exciting opportunities to support students who are conducting research on workplace DEI initiatives.  

The first is a call for research papers that summarize and operationalize findings from completed studies. The Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship January 8, 2021 The American Musicological Society (AMS)

This fellowship is used to increase the presence of minority scholars and teachers in musicology, the fellowship supports one year of graduate work for a student at a U.S. or Canadian university who is a member of a historically underrepresented group, including, in the U.S., African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans, and, in Canada, aboriginal peoples and visible minorities (as defined by Canadian legislation).
