Xavier Thompson

Xavier originally came to the University of Virginia as a research coordinator and entered the PhD program in kinesiology in 2020. He began collecting data from patients following ACL reconstruction surgery in the summer of 2020. The focus of his research is decreasing re-injury rates after initial surgery. In his time at UVA, Xavier has presented research at school, state, and national level conferences, and served in leadership positions in the School of Education and within the kinesiology department. His long-term goal is to serve as a professor and continue to conduct research related to ACL injuries.
